ahaha.... sorry for the lack of posting here.... guess i should give an update?
i moved into an apartment last fall! it's very nice. here's my desk as of recently!
for my studies last semester, i learned about 3d modeling! i've been working on and off on my own 3d model since then. check her out!
as to what i'm going to do with her... i'm not sure yet. i think it'd be cool to put her into vrchat or something like that, but the rigging process for that sounds way too difficult for my little pea brain....
i've also been listening to a lot of j-rock lately! i got back into luna sea, a band i really liked in my high school days. i translated a couple of their songs out of curiosity last week, but i'm not all that confident in the quality of my work.... i need to start studying kanji again...
well, またね!

sorry i haven't written in a while... i'll probably have more to talk about in the fall when i go back to college. but recently i went on a big summer vacation with my family! let me tell you about it!
our first day was mostly spent at disney springs in florida! it's one of my favorite places on disney property. mostly for uniqlo, ghiradeli, and disneyquest (i miss her everyday). upon entering the big disney store i was met w lots of oswald merch which was cool bc he's always been one of my favorite disney characters. there was lots of cute merch but in the end i settled for a oswald nuimo because it's not like i have enough plushies or anything.
we also ate at earl of sandwich and gideons, both of which i highly recommend. they're so delicious!
we soon headed down to port canaveral to board the disney fantasy. very big and beautiful ship!
the first two days were sea days! there were a lot of events like trivia and crafts that we enjoyed. my sister is the biggest disney fan in our family so we teamed up and won a couple of trivia games! so now we have a small collection of minnie mouse medals. aren't we so cool
after being off land for 2 days, we made our way to tortola where we went on a big forest hike through one of the tallest hills! the scenery was beautiful! but it was very windy and i felt like i was gonna blow away...
here are some of the little creatures we spotted:
that night was pirates night! basically you dress up as a pirate and all the characters are also dressed up as pirates. and there's a little fireworks show. and there used to be a dessert buffet many years ago but it's not around anymore and i am in despair argggghhhhh
the next day we went on ANOTHER forest hike, this time in st. thomas!
i was NOT used to the heat and the hike was really rough for me. but seeing this cute little hermit crab made everything better. sometimes it's the little things that count
the excursion description said we were supposed to go to honeymoon beach, but the tour guide took us to solomon beach. ah well. here are some more creatures i spotted in st. thomas:
that night, back on the ship, we went to animators palate for dinner. there's this fun little thing where you draw a character and it's scanned and added into the dinner show. it was so cute!!
our next destination was disney's fancy private island, castaway cay. the beach was nice, and there were lots of cool fish that i didn't get any pictures of.... also there were tons of seagulls. they had no fear of men and kept trying to steal food from the seats in front of us. it was crazy...
that night was the last one on the cruise. one of my servers (two of them serve you every night of the cruise) gave my sisters and i friendship bracelets!! my servers were so nice
overall it was a really great cruise!! i give it a 11/10

not much has happened lately, so i'll tell you some random fun facts about me instead!
1- i hold my pencil/pen/etc strangely. when i was in elementary school, my teachers would always try to get me to hold my pencil the right way, but i was a stubborn little child. nowadays, sometimes i'm flustered at the attention it gives me with my classmates and coworkers, but when it comes down to it, it's interesting that i can still draw this way. i get a lot of comments from people saying "i could never hold my pencil like that!!" well i don't know how i can either but here we are lol. somedays i think, it'd be nice if i could hold my pencil normally, because i wonder if drawing with a grip like this affects my line strokes, but at the same time i rarely get wrist/hand injuries this way (not yet at least).
2- i own an artbook collection! i've been collecting since i was 14. the artbooks i'm happiest to own are maya takamura's puzzle artbook and the twisted wonderland's magical archives, as well as the two tsukihime artbooks (one's a normal artbook, the other is a doujin one). i'm gonna have an art piece published in someone's artbook soon!! when i get it, it'll be up there on my most prized artbooks too. i'll make a dedicated diary entry about my artbook collection someday
3- i have a twin sibling who is also an artist! heck, we're even in the same majors at college (digital media/graphic design). one way you can tell us apart is that she draws cartoony stuff while i draw anime stuff. you can find her neocities site here!
that's it on this edition of gab-b fun facts! see you next time

first diary post!! i write to you in a tough spot... i was supposed to go to my grandparents' house for a week, i called off work for the whole week and everything... and then i got really sick and now i can't go!! TTvTT i thought i'd work on my site to decompress a little. it's good to have other hobbies besides drawing
in better news, i got to go to a muse concert last week! i was really into their music when i was in high school, and seeing them live has been on my bucket list for a while. so when they went on tour to promote their new album, i jumped at the chance!! (their new album is great btw. i love the rock elements) surprisingly, they went on tour with evanescence (and yes, they did play bring me to life). evanescence was actually pretty good, does this mean i'm emo now...?
here's some photos i got of muse's performance! the theatrics were amazing, my pics didn't do them justice
matt said that they hadn't been to my state in 10 years until that point. i can't wait to see them again when i'm 32
